"Jump" by Marc Dennis depicts an ornate room with an empty gold frame. This work is a tribute to the now infamous 1990 thefts of thirteen priceless paintings from the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum in Boston, Massachusetts. As yet unreturned the heist, valued around $90 million USD included works by Édouard Manet, Rembrandt van Rijn, Johannes Vermeer, and Edgar Degas among others. Many paintings were cut from their frames, leaving poignant vestiges of the event that the museum keeps on display.
