THE WRITING ON THE WALL

Land-locked Colorado is not an island... yet. Denver born artist Jonathan Saiz explores a vast and beautiful landscape where all of Colorado’s landmarks have been lost to the rising tides of a post climate-change world. The seascape has been a beloved subject matter for painters for centuries; Saiz continues this tradition with hundreds of large and small scale oil paintings on view at his first solo exhibition at K Contemporary with a different, more ominous intent. “The writing is on the wall” he says.
